Dr Siddharth Gupta with Governor Jon M. Huntsman Jr Chairman Atlantic Council in re-defining Historic & Strategic Indo-U.S Partnership

India has emerged as a World power and potentially shaping the International order, having a significant influence and much broader role in International security, Global business, Environment, Renewable energy and issues of transatlantic interest ranging from Asia to America.

With bilateral strategic partnership re-defined by the recent visit of President Obama in the beginning of 2014, the marked impressions have been made more firm respectively by successive visits of Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Chairman of Atlantic Council and Mr Frederick Kempe, President of Atlantic Council.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has identified the major concerns in today’s International scenario and thereby has initiated several measures to re-vitalise the sustained economic growth, education, health, urban and rural infrastructure, Make in India campaign for overall development.

Thus, India’s perception of its own role and perception of others is evolving and merging the boundaries and limiting the barriers.  The trajectory path laid down between Indo-U.S relationship is aspiring to reach its zenith ,  though, it is for India to re evaluate the major objectives in Foreign policy by enhancing  further role in International politics and policy making.

Just as India, engages the world, India is also being engaged by its internal dramatic transformation that will revamp the world order.  This is quite imperative as the U.S and India are pursuing two different political and economic models of growth. India has successfully integrated it’s pluralism and diversity with institutionalized democracy that has a potential to be a role model for others.
