As Days go by, clock rapidly ticks, D-day for Change of (West)Bengal Chief Minister is fast approaching. Yes, 11th hour is only a few steps away. That is because Trinamool MLAs are being finalized : How many of them will, if need be, will join hands with the BJP and whole heartedly support the BJP-backed Chief Minister Dr Amit Mitra as Chief Miniister at least till next State Assembly Elections due in 2016.
Grand Nephew of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose (his brother-n-INA Protector/precursor/poser/player/pariah Sharat Chandra Bose was Mitra’s Maternal Grand Farther), Dr Amit Mitra, shrewd, sharp, shrilling, incisive, tactical, manipulator par excellence, imbiber of brand new ideas, is synonymous with the Birlas, Tata, Singhanias, Mdoi, Aggarwal, Goyal, Mittal, Singh, Gutgutias, Goenkas, Bhutbhutia, Guptas, Mittals, Jalan, Jaipurias all others. In fact, he is as much at home with his GrandFather founded Leftist Forward Bloc as with Money Sharks above Marwaris etc and all others from all over the3 country including South. Before becoming Bengal FM, he was WholeSole Incharge of FICCI + Advisor to ASSOCHAM, CII, PHDCCI, Bengal Chambber of Commerce & Industries, World Bank, IMF, Indo-US Chamber of Commerce, AmericanIndian Chamber of Commerce, Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce etc,etc.
All of them did not heave a sigh of relief (they were rather crest fallen, slumped, disheartened) when out of blues he became FM of Bengal, chronic non industrial state. They wondered how come he is not the CM but only, FM. He should have been both FM-cum-CM. it would have been deadly for the state’s present slump percolated since 1977 when the CPI(M)+CPI+Forward Bloc+RSP took the state’s administration-reins and carried on uninterrupted for 34 years.
Amit Mitra, an ardent Leftist, is pro-Growth, pro-Economy, pro-Parvenu, pro-Industrialisation, pro-Liberalisation, pro-World Bank, Pro-Industrialists, pro-Industry will now ensure developing Bengal in US-China models. He presently (in fact, since 2011 when he became FM in the state) is deeply engrossed in assembling the industrialists in favour of the state. To them, he is openly assuring that there will be no labor problems. There will not be any other kind of problems as The Prime Minister Modi himself is pro-Growth. His words are being taken as consent. Queues of those wanting to enter the state with investments in his Chief Ministerial tenure is lengthening with every passing day. They are now onlky waiting for the Chief Ministership in the state. Mitra himself has started Count Down. He has readied himself to go to ____ and seek Blessings From Her on his Chief Ministership. And invoke Her constant guidance for Right Decisions.
